How to find if your Windows License is OEM, Retail or Volume?

There are mainly three types of Windows Licenses – OEM, Retail, and Volume. You can find out your license type using a simple command on the Windows Command Prompt.

Step 1: Press Windows + X keys together, and click on the Command Prompt (Admin) option.

Step 2: In the Command Prompt window, type slmgr –dli, and press Enter.

Step 3: A Windows Script Host window will open after a few seconds. It will display the license details of your Windows copy.
